New Game Plus
New Game Plus (also called the Cycle of Demise) is unlocked when you reach Level 50 — Elden God. It resets your character and starts the journey again — but you don't go back empty-handed. Certain permanent gains carry through, and each cycle makes the next one faster.
What Resets
- Level — back to 1 (Hollow)
- Rune balance — reset to zero
- Skill Points — all unspent points lost; all invested stats reset to zero
- Equipment — Broadsword only on return; all other equipment lost
- Companion level — reset to 0
- Active debuffs, consumables, Greases, and Grace Wards — all cleared
What Carries Over
- New Game Plus badge — displayed permanently on your profile
- Stacking +5% Rune earnings bonus — per completed cycle, permanent and stacking. Cycle 2 starts at +5%, Cycle 3 at +10%, and so on.
- Cosmetics and titles — all earned titles and visual unlocks
- Remembrances — boss trophy collection intact
- Echoes — all permanent boss kill perks remain active
- Ember — your accumulated flame carries through
- Flask unlocks — second and third Flask permanently unlocked if Ember 70/150 were reached
- Achievements — all earned achievements remain
New Game Plus is a planned post-launch feature — designed, but not yet built or scheduled to a specific phase. The mechanics listed here are locked design decisions, not currently active in the app.
The Cycle Bonus
The permanent +5% Rune earnings per cycle stacks with every subsequent run. A player on their third cycle earns 10% more Runes from everything, on top of their Ember multiplier and Dexterity investment. Over time, veteran players pull significantly ahead on earning rate — rewarding long-term engagement beyond the first year.
Ember in New Game Plus
Ember is one of the most valuable carries through New Game Plus. A player who reached the 2.4x multiplier cap (Ember 180) in Cycle 1 starts Cycle 2 with that multiplier already active. Combined with the cycle bonus and a fresh level progression, early Cycle 2 levels are significantly faster than Cycle 1.
Notes & Tips
- New Game Plus is a long-term goal. Level 50 is designed to take roughly one year of consistent play at the first run.
- The +5% per cycle stacking bonus means that the decision of when to reset has real consequences. Going early means a lower Ember carry. Going later — after Ember 200 — means entering Cycle 2 at the multiplier cap with the full cycle bonus on top.
- Remembrances carrying through means your boss kill trophy collection survives the reset. Your legacy of what you've defeated is permanent.
- The title earned for completing New Game Plus is one of the most exclusive in the game — very few players will see it in the first year.
New Game Plus requires reaching Level 50, which is designed to take one year of consistent play. The game currently has three players. One of them built it and may get distracted building something else. One of them is a middle school special education teacher in Odessa with a comfortable couch. One of them is from Michigan and is quietly excellent at everything she does. The smart money knows where it's going. The wiki will be here either way.
