Stats & Skill Points

Six attributes. Every one a reflection of what you actually did.

Your character has six stats. Each one is upgraded by spending Skill Points — earned from leveling up, achievements, and occasional rare loot drops. Stats never decrease permanently; they can only be suppressed temporarily by certain debuffs. Allocate points from the Grace tab.

The Six Stats

StrengthStrength +3% weapon damage vs bosses Orange
DexterityDexterity +1% all Rune earnings Blue

Stat Descriptions

Vigor

Your max HP. Every point of Vigor adds 4 HP to your ceiling — on top of the +2 HP per level you already earn automatically. Higher Vigor means more buffer against boss counterattacks, longer survival during neglect periods, and a bigger Flask restore in absolute terms (since Flask restores a percentage of max HP). The most straightforward defensive investment.

Endurance

Increases Flask potency. Base Flask restores 10% max Vigor. At Endurance 10, that becomes 20%. Stacks with higher max Vigor — a high-Vigor, high-Endurance build gets substantial HP back from every Flask use. Long-game investment that pays off most when you're at higher levels with a large Vigor pool.

Strength

Deals more damage to your weekly boss. Every point adds 3% to weapon damage. At Strength 10 your weapon hits 30% harder against every boss, every week. Boss kills are the largest Rune source in the game — faster kills mean more weekly windfalls. Offensive investment that directly supports the primary progression loop.

Dexterity

Increases all Rune earnings by 1% per point. At Dexterity 20 you earn 20% more Runes from everything — tasks, workouts, meals, boss kills. Compounds with the Ember multiplier. Late-game Dexterity investment at high Ember multiplier creates significant daily earnings differences. The most broadly useful stat for long-term progression.

Faith

Grows your Ember faster. Each point adds 0.05 Ember per day on top of the base Grace-based growth. At Faith 10, you earn an additional +0.5 Ember daily regardless of Grace level — equivalent to a free Flickering day every day. Ember drives your Rune multiplier, so Faith investment compounds over time. The longest-term stat — its value builds slowly and pays off most after months of play.

On Faith

Faith is the sleeper stat. It does almost nothing on day one. By month six it is paying dividends on every single thing you do. It rewards patience and consistency above all else, which makes it the ideal stat for a game about habits and the worst stat for someone who opened the Skill Point allocation screen instead of completing their Tier 2 tasks. Not that anyone has done this. This is simply a theoretical concern.

Arcane

Multiplies your loot drop rates by ×1.035 per point — the effect compounds, so 20 points roughly doubles every rate. Loot drops can include Skill Points, Flask charges, Grace Wards, boss-weakening items, and Legendary consumables. High Arcane increases the frequency of these drops from tasks and boss kills. Best paired with consistent play — more drops only matter if you're completing enough tasks and killing enough bosses to trigger them.

Skill Points

Skill Points are earned from:

Unspent Skill Points are visible on the Grace tab. Tap SPEND POINTS to open the allocation popup and add points to any stat. Individual point spends are immediate — no confirmation required. The Confirm button applies all pending allocations at once.

Respec

You can reallocate all your Skill Points at any time for 100,000 Runes. This returns every invested point to unspent and lets you rebuild your allocation from scratch. No limit on uses — but the cost is real. A free respec is available via a Larval Tear (Rare loot drop).

The respec flow has a two-gate safety check — you won't accidentally spend Runes or consume a Larval Tear by tapping the wrong thing. You can cancel at any point before the final confirmation with no cost.
